March 12, 2020

Due to escalating concerns about Coronavirus (COVID-19), LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire has decided to postpone our annual conference and expo, originally slated for April 8-9, 2020.

***Please save our NEW dates of November 17-18, 2020 at our same venues in Portsmouth, NH.***

At the heart of this decision: we cannot in any way risk the health of the elders we serve by convening a large group and possibly creating an opportunity to transmit the virus back to member communities.

We also understand that COVID-19 preparedness means it’s all-hands-on-deck at your communities, with a laser-sharp focus on the welfare of your residents. We applaud your vigilant efforts, including following strict infection prevention and control measures, restricting visitors, and keeping residents and family members informed.

LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire, in conjunction with LeadingAge, will continue to assist with information and resources to help you plan for and respond to COVID-19.  You’ll find a clearinghouse of resources—updated daily—at

What do you need to do with your existing conference registration?  Absolutely nothing!  We have transferred all registrations to our rescheduled program – November 17-18, 2020 at The Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel (Conference) and A/C Hotel (Expo). If for some reason you’re unable to make these dates, please reach out to me at

Overnight guests: The Sheraton will automatically refund your reservation. You will receive an email notification by the end of the day. Any questions, please contact Dan Witham, Director of Sales - ***Consider re-booking right away for November’s program at the same affordable rate of $159.00/night!***
